Second drug bust in St. Clair County nets drugs and cash

The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized a large amount of methamphetamine and prescription pills during a raid Thursday night.

According to Sheriff Mat King, an investigation into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area ended with the execution of a search warrant in the 3500 block of Lapeer Road about 8:00 last night.

Members of the DTF went into the residence and seized about $36,000 worth of methamphetamine and about $40,000 worth of pills.

Also seized in the raid was cash and a handgun reported lost out of the city of Port Huron.

Two 27-year old men and a 22 year old woman, all residents of the home, were arrested and lodged at the St. Clair County jail.

They are awaiting arraignment on charges including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house.
