
(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – An investigation by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force late last week ended with a pair of arrests and the seizure of narcotics and cash.
According to Sheriff Mat King, DTF agents conducted the investigation into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area.
A 39-year old man who is a suspect in the investigation was arrested on a multiple count warrant during a traffic stop last Thursday in the 1400 block of Sedgwick Street in Port Huron.
According to police, the stop led to the confiscation of narcotics and also led to a search warrant being executed at the man’s residence at the Minnesota Lakes Mobile Home Park in Port Huron Township.
Drug Task Force agents seized additional illegal drugs and cash.
A total of approximately $8,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized, along with about $2,000 worth of heroin and nearly $2,300 in cash.
In addition to the arrest of the male suspect, a 39 year old Port Huron Township woman was arrested at the home.
The pair face charges including possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute.
The case remains under investigation.
