Two people found themselves arrested last Tuesday evening after a Drug Task Force investigation uncovered evidence of the pair selling methamphetamine.

St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King reports that a Marysville police officer found narcotics and packaging materials in the car of a 46-year-old Marysville woman during a traffic stop. Upon learning that the suspect was living in the Clair Inn on Gratiot Boulevard in Marysville, the St. Clair Drug Task Force obtained a warrant to conduct a search of the room.

DTF members found and seized heroin, methamphetamine, scales and more materials for drug packaging. A 40-year-old man who had also been living in the room was arrested at this time.

Both suspects were held at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center and face several charges ranging from possession with intent to distribute, running a drug house, and being a habitual offender.
