(ELK TOWNSHIP) — Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Elk Township. Deputies say a 2004 Ford Ranger, driven by 18-year-old Scott Sherman of Peck, was heading west on Sheridan Line Road when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and go into a ditch. Sherman was transported by a family member to McKenzie Health System for treatment of unknown injuries. Sherman was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
