(SANDUSKY) — Sandusky’s Country Christmas Weekend kicks off Friday, December 4 with the Tree Lighting Ceremony on the courthouse lawn at 7 p.m. There will be an open skate at Colleen J. Howe Arena at the fairgrounds, also starting at 7 p.m. Michigan’s Original Lighted Farm Implement Parade is Saturday, December 5 at 7 p.m. The parade route will start at the Sandusky High School and head north on M-19 to M-46, turn east at M-46 and then south on Campbell Road. Santa will be at the gazebo on the courthouse lawn Saturday from 3-6 p.m. Children’s activities will be going on at local businesses and the Sandusky Band Country Christmas Craft and Vendor Show at the Elementary School will run from 10-3 p.m. A soup and chili supper will be held at the First United Methodist Church from 4:30-6:30 p.m., snacks and refreshments will be available at the Sandusky Fire Hall at 5 p.m. and bean soup and chili will be served in front of Key’s Radio beginning at 7 p.m., courtesy of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
