NEW YORK (AP) – Mel Tillis is on the road to recovery after colon surgery Friday afternoon. His representatives tell Rolling Stone magazine Tillis is not in critical condition, in spite of a tweet last week from Tony Orlando that said Tillis was in critical condition. Tillis was supposed to be part of the Country Music Cruise that sets sail this weekend, but organizers say he will need several weeks to recover. Bobby Bare will take his place.
