(YALE) — The suspect in the armed robbery at the Tri-County Bank in Yale has been arrested. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the 51-year old Armada man was arrested at his home Thursday night after detectives received a tip on the suspect vehicle. Surveillance was set up near the suspect’s home in the 23000 block of Pratt Road with assistance from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Once authorities made contact with the man and conducted an interview, he was arrested. The bank on North Brockway Road was held up on January 7. The man brandished a gun and demanded money. He fled the scene in a pickup truck. The Armada man remains jailed in St. Clair County. Sheriff Donnellon says he is also a suspect in the January 8 armed robbery of the Oxford Bank in Dryden.
