Man arrested for allegedly stabbing roommate

(FORT GRATIOT TOWNSHIP) — St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies say a Fort Gratiot man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his roommate late Saturday night. Deputies were sent to a boarding house residence in the 3500 block of Keewahdin Road for a person causing a problem. Deputies found the suspect, a 56-year old man, sitting in a chair, bleeding from his hand. An investigation showed that the suspect had stabbed a 48-year old man in the shoulder during an argument between the two men. The victim was taken to Lake Huron Medical Center and admitted for treatment. The suspect was transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital where he was treated and released. The 56-year old man remains jailed an is awaiting arraignment.
