(MARLETTE TOWNSHIP) — A 23-year old woman and her 1-year old son escaped serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash Friday morning on Butler Road near Montgomery Road in Marlette Township. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies say the Marlette Township woman was traveling south on Butler Road shortly before 11 a.m., when she lost control of the vehicle and spun off the roadway into the south ditch of Montgomery Road. The vehicle rolled over in the ditch and came to rest in a field. The woman suffered minor injuries to her hand and was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment. Her son was not injured. Deputies say speed was a factor in the crash. Marlette Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
