(GREENLEAF TOWNSHIP) — A 65-year old Ubly woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening on M-53 near Bay City-Forestville Road in Sanilac County’s Greenleaf Township. Troopers from the Caro State Police post say a Jeep driven by a 61-year old Madison Heights woman was traveling south on M-53 when she lost control on the slippery roadway and crossed into oncoming traffic. The Jeep struck a car driven by a 39-year old Ubly woman. The 65-year old victim was a back seat passenger in the car and pronounced dead at the scene. The other two passengers and the driver of the car were taken to Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the Jeep and her passenger were taken to Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City for treatment of their injuries, which are unknown.
