(MARINE CITY) — The Marine City Police Department is warning residents of a recent scam that was brought to their attention on Sunday afternoon. A citizen reported that two Hispanic men came to their house and wanted to do cement repairs. The suspects originally wanted $2,500, requesting the homeowner go to the ATM to withdraw the money. The homeowner then negotiated the fee and agreed to give the men $50 cash and a $200 check. Police say the suspects are driving a large white pickup. Anyone with information on this type of activity or have fallen victim to something similar, contact Marine City Police or your local department immediately.
