(HURON COUNTY) — An undercover drug buy Tuesday night landed a Harbor Beach man in jail. Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson says deputies arranged for the undercover marijuana buy at a business on the north end of Bad Axe. The suspect, 24-year old Matthew Chabot was arrested for felony delivery charges. His vehicle was seized, along with a small amount of cash. The transaction led to a search warrant at Chabot’s apartment in Harbor Beach where deputies seized hundreds of prescription pain relieving pills, marijuana, marijuana oil, packaging materials and a scale. Chabot was arraigned Wednesday on the drug charges and remains jailed on a $10,000 cash bond. Harbor Beach and Bad Axe Police assisted in the bust.
