(SANDUSKY) — The Sandusky Arts Council has announced the 2016 Lawn Chair Music Series schedule and thanks to the strong community support, the series will be extended to eight concerts this year.The popular, free concerts will take place at 7 p.m. every Friday night from June 24 through August 12 on the Sanilac County Courthouse lawn. Sandusky Arts Council President Rick Cook says there will be more rock, more country, and more variety planned than ever before. On June 24th, the JoeyVee Band will be returning from Macomb. JoeyVee was the most popular group last year singing new country, pop, rock, southern rock, and classic rock. The show on July 1st will feature country music from Shotguns and Violins. The Eagles tribute band, Mowtown Eagles will be in town on July 8th. Double Play is another crowd favorite. They will entertain on July 15th playing rock and roll classics. On July 22, Bill Denbrocks Big Band from Harbor Beach will take take the stage. The July 29th performance will feature Threshold, one of Detroit’s hottest cover bands up from Auburn Hills. Third Degree Burns, an up-and-coming band from Lapeer will perform on August 5th and on August 12th, enjoy the sounds of Pole Barn Rebels from Flint.
