(CARO) — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Caro Post invite community members to join them for an informal gathering to discuss community issues and build relationships. The “Coffee with a Cop” event will run from 10 a.m.-Noon on Thursday, March 10 at the Sandusky Big Boy Restaurant. The majority of contact law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. The informal gathering breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. Community Service Trooper Mark Swales says the department hopes community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, and get to know their Troopers a little better.
