(DECKERVILLE) — Following a public hearing on Monday evening, the Deckerville Village Council adopted the budget for the fiscal year that begins April 1st. The new spending guide has revenues and expenditures totaling $816,858. This is a decrease of $15,000 from the current budget. Effective April 1st–water, sewer, and garbage rates for village residents will be increased by $1.00 a month. The quarterly bills will go up from $72.00 to $75.00. Village employees will now receive a $400 annual payment in lieu of the water credit that they have been receiving for many years.
