UNDATED (AP) – Will there be another Yale-like upset in the NCAA Tournament today? If nothing else, we have all come to accept the fact that there is pretty much no such thing as a sure thing in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Yesterday’s results proved that once again.A check of today’s schedule shows the remaining No. 1 seed with a game as Oregon, the top seed in the West, takes on 16th seed Holy Cross in Spokane, Washington. In other matchups of a high seed facing a lower seed, second seed Oklahoma of the West is playing 15th seedCal State Bakersfield, West third seed Texas A&M goes against No. 14 Green Bay, Midwest No. 2 Michigan State is tangling with 15th seed Middle Tennessee, Villanova, the second seed in the South, is playing 15th seed UNC Asheville and in the East No. 2 Xavier is going up against No. 15 Weber State while third-seed West Virginia is knocking heads with No. 14 Stephen F.
