(LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP) — A bicyclist was injured while riding along County Farm Road Tuesday evening in Sanilac County’s Lexington Township. Sheriff’s deputies say that a Ford F150 pickup, driven by 80-year old Duane Durecka of Croswell, was traveling west on County Farm near Wildcat around 5:15 p.m. when he struck 63-year old Gene Sawdon of Croswell with the passenger side mirror of the truck. The impact knocked Sawdon and the bicycle over. Durecka told deputies he didn’t see the bicycle traveling in front of him. Sawdon was transported by Croswell EMS to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Lexington Police assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
