(AREA) — Residents and park-goers will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the night sky during International Dark Sky Week, April 4-10. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources reports that a number of state parks will stay open for self-guided stargazing and views of the night sky next week. Locally, the Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area in Lapeer County and the Port Crescent State Park in Huron County will be open for night sky viewing.
