(LEXINGTON) — Lexington Police Officer Cam O’Mara was recently recognized for his life saving efforts. While on patrol last August, Officer O’Mara was dispatched to a full cardiac arrest. The patient was unresponsive and not breathing. The man’s wife had initiated CPR. Officer O’Mara and a Lexington Fire and Rescue member continued CPR and used an AED to shock the patient. Emergency crews found the man’s pulse and the tragic event had a happy ending. The man and his wife were able to thank Officer O’Mara 6-months later on their wedding anniversary.
