Eastern Michigan Bank Announces Completion of Ruth State Bank Acquisition

(AREA) — Eastern Michigan Financial Corporation, the holding company of Eastern Michigan Bank has completed its acquisition of Ruth State Bank, bringing their total assets to about $315 million. The Ruth branch will continue to operate as Ruth State Bank until early June. That month, the branch will be fully integrated into Eastern and will operate as Eastern Michigan Bank. Established in 1907, Ruth State Bank operated only in Ruth. Eastern Michigan Bank has branch locations in Croswell, Deckerville, Fort Gratiot, Lakeport, Lexington, Marysville, Minden City, Port Huron and Sandusky. Chartered as the State Bank of Croswell in 1895, Eastern has been in operation for more than 120-years.
