(MARLETTE TOWNSHIP) — The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle roll over crash that took place on Decker Road near Walker Road in Marlette Township shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Sheriff’s deputies say a pickup driven by a 58-year-old Peck man was traveling south on Decker Road and left the roadway to avoid hitting a deer. The vehicle entered the west ditch and then re-entered the roadway causing the vehicle to roll over, coming to rest on it’s roof. The driver was transported by ambulance to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment. Police say he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. His name is being withheld pending his arraignment on charges related to the accident.
