(HURON COUNTY) — The Huron County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an AARP Smart Driver Course on Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Bay Street in Sebewaing. The course, designed for senior citizen drivers, will cover defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, as well as new traffic laws and rules of the road. There are no tests to pass. Upon completion of the course and depending on the participant’s automobile insurance provider, yearly insurance discounts may apply. The course is limited to 30 people at a cost of $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Interested seniors may call the Huron County Sheriff’s Office to reserve a spot at 989-269-6500.
