(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate a car/pedestrian crash that occurred last Friday afternoon around 2:20 p.m. at M-24 near Wells Road. Deputies say a vehicle driven by 77-year old Billy Hickey of Mayville had been traveling south on M-24 when witnesses say a 17-year old boy walking along the road, ran out into the path of the vehicle and was struck. The victim, Justin Felton, had been wearing earphones and deputies believe he may have been distracted and did not see the vehicle approaching. Felton was transported by Lifenet Helicopter for treatment. Deputies were assisted by Troopers, Caro Police and the Caro Fire Department.
