Middle school basketball coach facing additional sex charges

DETROIT (AP) – An assistant basketball coach at a Detroit middle school is facing new charges that he had inappropriate sexual contact with a boy. The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says 28-year-old Antoine Jones was arraigned Monday and is due back in court later this month. Charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involve a now-15-year-old boy from June 2014 until February of this year. The Associated Press left a message seeking comment from a lawyer for Jones. Jones last month was ordered to stand trial on sex charges involving some boys he coached. Those boys ranged in age from 13 to 15. They testified about the exchange of inappropriate messages and videos. At least one boy said he was touched inappropriately. Jones was earlier placed on unpaid administrative leave from Holmes Elementary-Middle School.
