Special recognition given during “National Police Week”

(SANILAC COUNTY) — In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed the week of May 15 as National Police Week. Organizations across the country have been giving special recognition to those who lost their lives in the line of duty and for the safety and protection of all officers. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department was joined by other local law enforcement agencies on Wednesday to hold a service to remember those lost in the line of duty and to also recognize the area’s hardworking, dedicated officers that put their lives on the line each day. Sheriff Biniecki extends a heartfelt “thank you” to Bishop Anderson and those at Bill Anderson Ministries International for their blessings and the luncheon in appreciation of all officers at the city, county, state, and Federal levels for their dedication to protect and serve their communities.
