(SANILAC COUNTY) — A 47-year old Croswell man was injured in a hunting accident last Friday afternoon. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies say Central Dispatch received a call regarding the accidental shooting around 3:30 p.m. The incident took place in the 200 block of Ridge Road in Sanilac Township. Deputies say the victim, Troy Davis, had been turkey hunting with his 15-year old son, when he was struck by a bird-shot pellet in the leg. His son shot at a turkey not realizing that his father was in position behind the turkey. Davis was struck in the leg from about 60-yards away. He was treated at McKenzie Health System and released later that day.
