(LAPEER) — DTE Energy says installation has taken place on the first of nearly 200,000 total solar panels set to be at two projects in Lapeer. The company said in a news release Tuesday that the solar projects will be able to provide enough energy to power more than 9,000 homes. The release says about 150 temporary jobs will be created by the company’s Lapeer solar projects during construction. According to the release, the projects are expected to get finished by year-end.
