UNDATED (AP) – The NBA Finals get going this Thursday in Oakland as Golden State clinched the Western Conference championship Monday night with a 96-88 victory over Oklahoma City. The defending champion Warriors are the tenth team to come back and win a playoff series after trailing three games to one. Once again guard Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State with 36 points, 24 of which came in the second half. The Warriors now face a fresh Cleveland Cavaliers club which has been off since eliminating Toronto in six games. Following the opening game Thursday, Game 2 in the series will take place at the same venue before switching to Cleveland.
