(PECK) — Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol may be a contributing factor in an incident in the Village of Peck where two men were taken into custody after being found inside the fence at the site of the Peck water tower. Police responded about 12:30 a.m. Saturday after receiving a call from a citizen alerting them that two people were on top of the tower. Deputies arrived to find a 20-year-old man from Peck and a 22-year-old man from Applegate still inside the fenced in area. After questioning the men, police learned that the pair had climbed up the tower and had made it down safely before officers arrived. They were taken into custody and lodged in the Sanilac County Jail.
