DETROIT (AP) – Henry Ford Health System and grocery chain Kroger are partnering on an effort to encourage shoppers to make healthier food choices. Henry Ford LiveWell Wednesdays starts this week at all 126 Kroger stores in Michigan. Every Wednesday, the Detroit-based health system will provide shoppers with a healthy recipe developed by registered dietitian nutritionists, a brochure with details and access to a video demonstration. Experts with Henry Ford LiveWell also will be at four Kroger stores in the Detroit area each Wednesday through September to answer questions from shoppers. Additional details about the program and related health efforts are posted online. Kroger Co. is based in Cincinnati.
