(LEXINGTON) — The Sanilac County Humane Society will host their 1st annual Putt’in 4 Paws Fun Festival this Saturday, June 4. All of the proceeds will go toward the care of animals and construction of a new building south of Lexington in Worth Township. The Sanilac County Humane Society acquired the land along M-25 with the miniature golf course and driving range last year. Part of the property will stay the Putt’in 4 Paws course. The festival on Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. will include a food tent, arts and craft sales, children’s games, and raffles. The “no-kill” shelter, currently based in Carsonville, relies solely on donations and fundraising efforts. Over 250 homeless, abandoned or surrendered dogs and cats are found forever homes each year through the organization.
