(SPEAKER TOWNSHIP) — Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a two-car crash around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township. According to deputies, a 26-year old Croswell man was driving a 2016 Chevrolet pickup and was stopped at the intersection of Brockway and Burnsline Road waiting for traffic to clear when a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by an 80-year-old Sandusky man, traveling north on Brockway Road, failed to stop, striking the rear of the Chevy. The Sandusky man was injured in the crash and taken by Marlette EMS to McKenzie Health System for treatment then later flown by Lifenet to Covenant Hospital for additional treatment. His condition was not reported. The Croswell man was not injured. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team was called to investigate. The accident remains under investigation.
