DETROIT (AP) – Free shredding of sensitive documents and recycling of small electronics is being offered Saturday at the home of the Detroit Tigers. There’s no game Saturday at Comerica Park, but Comerica Bank is promoting “Shred Day” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in one of the parking lots off Woodward Avenue. The free event is part of an effort by the bank to prevent fraud and identity theft. Comerica Bank says it’s open to the public. Iron Mountain will shred boxes or bags of paper documents and Re-Source Partners will accept small electronics as part of the effort. Details about the event, including a list of prohibited items, are posted online.
