MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) – A shipping container that’s been converted into a walk-up bar is the latest addition to Midland’s downtown. The Midland Daily News and The Saginaw News report the Larkin Beer Garden is located in a parking lot. It features craft brews on tap as well as canned beer and bottled water. There are picnic tables set up for sitting and an area to play games outdoors. Different food trucks will join it each night it’s open. Larkin Beer Garden stems from a partnership among the Michigan Baseball Foundation, which owns the Great Lakes Loons, Turtle Cove Properties and Momentum Midland, which is a group of people, businesses and foundations working to improve the area.
