Sanilac County receives good audit for “living within its means”

(SANILAC COUNTY) — The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners Tuesday afternoon appointed Sandusky District Library Director Gail Nartker to the Library Board for a 5-year term expiring in June 2021. The board awarded the bid to Penchura Company for a playground structure that was built at the Lexington County Park at a cost not to exceed $85,030. Funding for the play equipment came from the Park Millage Fund. It was noted that the structure is up after only a couple of set backs due to recent rain. In other business, a presentation on the 2015 audit was given during the meeting and a representative from the county’s auditing firm, Anderson, Tackman and Company informed the board that the county is in good shape financially by “living within their means.”
