(CARO) — The new app, “Pokemon Go,” has taken smart phone users by storm. Locally, the Caro Police Department says they have had calls from concerned citizens reporting “roving groups of young people” in the city. The app uses the phone’s GPS to create a map of the users current location, using surroundings as points of interest in the game. Caro Police have addressed the concern on their Facebook page saying that the groups of young people are not breaking any law and are in fact having fun. The post added that if residents suspect there is unlawful activity, officers will gladly check it out; however, the game which is played outside and has caught on worldwide, is harmless. The department is more concerned with safety issues, such as people walking out in front of a car while staring at their cell phone.
