(EVERGREEN TOWNSHIP) — Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the scene of a crash in Evergreen Township Tuesday afternoon at around 2:15 p.m. following a two-car crash that injured an Evergreen Township woman. According to deputies, 50-year-old Beverly Ostrander was injured when a pickup truck hauling an empty cattle trailer rear-ended her car as she was attempting to turn left into Evergreen Park off of M-53. Ostrander was freed from her vehicle by the Cass City Fire Department using their Jaws of Life. She was transported to Covenant Hospital by Cass City EMS for treatment. The driver of the pickup, 33-year-old Jason Curson of Ida and his passenger, were not injured.
