(LAPEER COUNTY) — Bridge repairs along I-69 in Lapeer County continues next week when MDOT crews close the Five Lakes Road overpass at I-69 for three weeks, beginning Wednesday, July 20. Motorists can expect the current lane closures on I-69 under Five Lakes to remain in place. As part of the construction, the Five Lakes Rest Area will be closed for 10-days. The posted detour includes Newark Road, Wilder Road, and Peppermill Road. The estimated completion date is Wednesday, August 10. Additional lane closures will be announced later in the year as crews continue work on other structures.
