(PORT HURON) — The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division is reminding boaters about a special no-wake zone this coming Saturday. Because of the heavy boat traffic expected for the start of the Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat race, the St. Clair River will be considered a no-wake zone from the mouth of the Black River to the mouth of Lake Huron. Sheriff Donnellon says that Marine Division deputies will be on the water enforcing the no-wake zone, along with the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Border Patrol and DNR. The special no-wake zone will be in effect Saturday, July 16 only, from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
