(FORESTER TOWNSHIP) — Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking tips from the public on a malicious destruction of property incident that took place Thursday morning on Richmondville and Goetze Roads in Forester Township. Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from a DTE Energy contractor just after 10 a.m. reporting that two of the windows on his marked work vehicle had been broken out. The man had been sitting roadside in the vehicle when two men, driving what was described as a black in color Ford F-150 pickup, got out of their pickup and smashed out his windows with a possible crow bar. The suspects made some derogatory comments to the DTE worker and left the scene. The pickup had a confederate flag hanging from a pole on the back of the truck. Anyone with information relating to the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect pickup is asked to contact the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department.
