Memorial 5K Walk/Run Commemorates the Life of Dr. Michael Ogboh

(BROWN CITY) — The annual Dr. Michael Ogboh Memorial 5K Walk/Run was held June 11 in conjunction with the Brown City Soybean Festival, raising over $3,000. The event is organized by the staff of Family HealthCare of Brown City and was started 3-years ago to commemorate the life of Dr. Ogboh. There were 77 participants this year. Danny Jones took first place among the male runners with a time of 19 minutes and 33 seconds. For the female runners, Whitley Blake placed first with a time of 21 minutes and 16 seconds. For walk participants, Kim Thompson placed first overall with a time of 37 minutes and 59 seconds. The funds raised are donated to United Hospice Service to financially assist patients who are unable to afford their hospice care.
