(METAMORA) — A 32-year-old man who may have been tangled in vegetation has drowned at a state park in Lapeer County. The sheriff’s office says Pattamas Johnson of Swartz Creek suddenly disappeared Sunday afternoon while outside the marked swimming area at Metamora-Hadley State Park. He was with his girlfriend, family and friends. Efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. The sheriff’s office calls it an “unfortunate tragedy.”
