(TUSCOLA TOWNSHIP) — Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Saginaw and Atkins Roads Tuesday evening for a two-vehicle crash. A 41-year old Bayport woman told deputies that she had been using her cell phone as a GPS while driving along Atkins Road in Tuscola Township around 6 p.m. She did not notice the stop sign at Saginaw Road and went through the intersection, striking a westbound car driven by a 62-year old Vassar woman. The Bayport woman and her four passengers were not injured. The other driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and later taken to an area hospital.
