(PORT SANILAC) — A 22-year old Port Sanilac man was arrested early Sunday after driving his pickup truck into the front of the Pope Apartment Complex in Port Sanilac. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies were notified that a man hadt driven into the apartment building just before 12:30 a.m. When deputies arrived, the man took off on foot and was later taken into custody without incident. An investigation revealed the man was attempting to fix some maintenance issues with his vehicle and while doing so, began driving the truck recklessly in the parking lot. The pickup then struck one of the apartment buildings, which was occupied by several people. No injuries were reported; however, the apartment building sustained major damage. Alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident.
