(ST. CLAIR) — Anglers are using online fundraising to help fix up a fish-cleaning station at the St. Clair municipal harbor. The station is closed for other work after earlier repairs to broken pipes underneath the facility. Bill Barrons, owner of Angler’s Outfitters in St. Clair, says the station has a large industrial electrical grinder that’s used to deal with fish bones, fish skin and other waste. He says it’s not working properly. Online fundraising is taking place to get it fixed. Katie Stepp, harbormaster in St. Clair, says the existing motor will be overhauled. She estimates repairs will cost about $3,500.
