(PORT HURON) — A 15-year old Port Huron area boy has been charged as an adult after shooting at two people with a stolen handgun. Daniel Bell III, of Riley Township, was arraigned on nine charges Wednesday in Port Huron’s 72nd District Court. He’s accused of stealing items from several vehicles in the Cove Road area of Wales Township Tuesday morning while accompanied by his 17-year old girlfriend. Authorities say Bell found and stole a 9mm pistol from one of the vehicles. As Bell and the 17-year old girlfriend attempted to get into another vehicle, the owner of the vehicle and a neighbor confronted them. A scuffle ensued and Bell fired at least one shot at the homeowner and the neighbor. Neither was injured. The homeowner was able to get the license plate number on the suspect vehicle as Bell and his girlfriend fled. Both were arrested at Bell’s home later that morning. Belle now faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of armed robbery, one count of breaking and entering a vehicle with damage to the vehicle, one count of larceny of firearms, and several other charges. Bond was set at $500,000. Bell is lodged at the Macomb County Juvenile Center until his probable cause hearing on August 9. Charges will be filed against the 17-year old girlfriend Thursday.
