COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (AP) — Jose Medina hit a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to lead the Lake County Captains to a 2-1 win over the West Michigan Whitecaps on Monday. Kenny Mathews got Derek Hill to ground out with runners on first and second to end the game for his first save of the season. Medina homered and singled in the win. Devon Stewart (1-1) got the win with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Adenson Verastegui (0-5) took the loss in the Midwest League game.
