(BROCKWAY TOWNSHIP) — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon when a semi-truck hauling corn collided with a car in St. Clair County’s Brockway Township. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the semi was traveling south on M-19 just after noon when the truck went into a curve at Wilkes Road too fast, lost control, struck a car, and ended up in a ditch on the east side of the road. As a result, approximately 50 tons of corn was spilled. The driver of the semi was taken to McKenzie Health System in Sandusky, while the two people in the car were transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. M-19 was closed at Wilkes Road for clean up. The crash remains under investigation.
