(VASSAR TOWNSHIP) — State Police from the Caro Post are looking for witnesses of a fatal accident that occurred Saturday in Tuscola County’s Vassar Township. According to police, a 30-year-old Vassar woman was traveling west on Brown Road near Hess Road when she struck a 13-year-old girl from Flint who walking alongside the road. The victim was transported by Flight Care to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw where she was placed on life support. The girl died Sunday as a result of her injuries. State troopers are continuing to investigate the accident and have determined that alcohol was not a factor and ask that anyone who may have witnessed that accident contact the Michigan State Police at 989-673-2158.
