(AREA) — Authorities say the man involved in a fatal crash that killed a 19-year old Cros-Lex student in May will be arraigned next week. Sanilac County Undersheriff Brad Roff says the 55-year old Deckerville man is set for arraignment in District Court Wednesday, August 24, but the Prosecutor’s Office would not advise on the final charges against him until after the court hearing. The victim, Brandon Regan, was a senior at Cros-Lex attending the district’s Secondary Alternative Education Program at the time of his death. The crash took place on May 6 along Galbraith Line Road in Worth Township. Deputies say the Deckerville man was traveling east on Galbraith Line and when he attempted to turn left onto St. Clair Road, he turned into the path of the Kawasaki dirt bike Regan was driving. The Deckerville man was arrested at the scene and later released on a PR bond. Authorities say formal charges against the man were on hold due to pending toxicology results.
